CDs and DVDs Can Support Book Information

Some field guides include sonograms to help identify bird songs, others may provide a word sequence to describe the song. These can be useful for some, but for even those individuals listening to bird songs recorded on a CD is far superior. Likewise, bird diagnostic activity can be described in print, but it is much easier to understand and remember if the birds are actualy shown in motion using DVDs. Ideally, use of CD sound tracts and DVD moving picture tracks in addition to bird book descriptions will best prepare one for a day of bird watching. This is particularly true for new birders.
