Bird Information

The Wise Birder Compares
Field Observations and Book Information

Before going to the field, the wise birder will study books containing important bird information in order to fill the brain with knowledge about the birds expected to be present in the chosen birding location. Some birds are easy to identify, but others can present problems. Some birds pose in a single location long enough to be identified, but others tend to quickly flit between one spot and another. The flitters tend to be difficult to identify because they seldom stop at open sites. By adequate preparation, the birder is prepared to make snap but correct ID decisions, even when the birds do not make it easy by posing. We stock a variety of bird books to meet the needs of all birders. We have books helpful for all, whether novice or experienced, and books from field guides to those thoroughly describing a few, or even one bird species.

Order today the book which will properly prepare you
for your next birding trip.
